Fun, Friendship and Football – Girls’ Friendly

23rd Apr 2026
This afternoon, it was the girls’ turn as over 40 P4–P7 girls took part in a fantastic and friendly afternoon of football against Buick Memorial Primary School.

Over the last five years, Fourtowns and Buick have successfully built a unique annual girls’ friendly match, growing from just a small number of players in the first year to more than 40 girls participating this year - a brilliant reflection of the increasing enthusiasm for football among our girls.

The matches were competitive, exciting and played in a great spirit, with excellent commitment, attitudes and behaviour shown by all involved. We are incredibly proud of the inclusive and supportive environment created, giving so many girls the opportunity to experience competitive school football.

At Fourtowns, we believe school sport is not just about winning - it’s about creating equal opportunities to train, play and have fun, and today was a wonderful example of that.

Well done to all the girls who took part - you represented your schools superbly. We are proud to be part of such a positive sporting partnership and look forward to many more years of this fantastic tradition.
